 Verified Selecta Away Day 2024
Held Selecta’s Away Day at this resort and we had a great time thanks to the very accommodating crew of Modala Resort. Not only does the resort offer exclusivity and peace, but also different activities such as crystal kayak, scuba diving, free diving, snorkeling and more that you will enjoy! It is connected to Moadto strip with different kinds of boutique for souvenir shopping and restaurants. This place has everything you need! Their amenities and food are superb — perfect for a relaxing escapade for our employees.

 Verified Perfect Getaway
First of all, thanks to Gigi & the staff of Modala for making us feel like we're home. We booked 2 rooms overlooking the ocean & the view is perfect though it could be noisy at times since it's also facing the pool. Rooms were very clean, they had room service available & the breakfast buffet option was all alright. Only stayed for a night so we weren't able to enjoy the perks that came with our stay but we will definitely be back soon.

 Verified Modala is perfect in everything.
Second time to be in Bohol and it was truly a fantastic experience. Great service. Great hotel. Great experience- the photoshoot session is perfect for solo travelers. Look for Kuya Chito- he takes great photo. Will definitely be back with my family, soon.

 Verified Superb Beachfront Resort in Panglao
Resort interior is tasteful, they have big open spaces, beach front and an adjacent mall. The room is big with super comfy bed, pillows and comforters. They provide toiletries and bottles of water. They have infinity pool overlooking the beach area. Buffet breakfast is excellent - good taste, with variety of food. Service is noteworthy, shout out to Winston from Concierge who took care of us from the time we arrived until we checked out; Belle from Mangaon Ta was pleasant and was attentive to our breakfast requests; our housekeeper (forgot his name) but appreciated his handwritten note to us. Although the email responses are not as quick as I wanted/expected to be - at times, I need to send a follow-up email to get a response …. Overall, The experience in the resort was exceptional. The staff are very welcoming, kind and warmth. They will make you feel you’re the only guest that they’re attending to. Rose, Gigi, Sherwin, Pao, George and the many others who attended to us and welcomed us - thank you!!! I love the smell of the hallway from a warm oil by the elevator! Just heaven! Kudos to Jaypee, our room attendant! Even though we have not met, he made us feel that he knows us well by ensuring our needs in the room are addressed & met. He has explicit attention to details. He also left us a gratitude note… which I thought made the whole experience quite personal and special. Feels like we’re not just one of the resorts many guest, but rather we’re the center of his universe! We arrived in the resort planning to connect with tour operators via internet- only to find out that they have a tourist desk that can provide you the tours that you intend. You can choose from the many packages they have or you can make an ala-carte to cater it to what you like. They will provide what you’d like. And the price is very competitive. George, our driver and tour guide in the countryside tour was very funny and attentive. No dull moments with him. He was witty, quick and always look after us. He ensures that as we exit a tourist attraction, he and the car is by the exit door/gate and ready! We had so much fun in the van and in the tourist attractions! Allan, our boat captain was very sweet and had this “fatherly” vibe - making sure that we are safe in the boat without being too imposing. We appreciate the life vest and especially the ear covers while in the boat! I didn’t get the security guard’s name - but he was very attentive. He called Tuktuk’s for us. Papa Jo was our tuktuk driver - I recommend him you’ll need one! The resort has also many activities - the pool has a bar with music playing; the mangaon ta restaurant has band/live music at night time; there was also fire dancers by the beach and a live DJ by the moadto strip mall. The strip mall provides additional choices for food and drinks!

 Verified Great family vacation
Modala is a great beachfront resort to stay in in Bohol. The airport is not very far (15-20mins van ride). Staff was excellent and very accommodating. The mall next door has restaurants, a 7-11 and gift shops. The resort can arrange tours at reception - do note: chocolate hills, tarsiers are about 2 hours away from the resort. Room - very good. They provide 1 glass bottle of filtered water. We opted to buy bottled water from the nearby 7-11. Beach - it was clean, not rocky, water was clear. Unfortunately it was jelly fish season so guests were not able to snorkel at their house reef. Jelly fish did not reach the swimming area or shore however since they had a net up. Low tide allows you to walk the shore further. What would make it better is a shower area somewhere near the beach level, aside from foot baths. Restaurant - good. Breakfast buffet had several choices. They are lacking a restroom for guests (ie, those checking in, checking out) on the lobby level as the only restrooms there are the ones for the pool guests so it is always wet.

We had so much fun... from the food the hotel room and the awesome staff. Thank you to all the kuyas who made our 1st wedding anniversary very unforgettable ROMMEL NIÑO AND ALEX. THANK YOU GUYS!! Kuya rommel was very patient and always checking on us. Alex who still take good care of us everytime we dine in in mangaon ta he make sure we are comfortable. NERI and his team who helped me with my surprise for my husband. Kuya Winston in concierge. Joe the room attentand made our room clean and always attends to our requests. We stayed at the Modala Hotel for 3 nights with a group of 100 people and had a very positive experience. The service is first class, the friendliness of all the staff is unbeatable and the flexibility of all employees is sensational.
